At the time of writing this post, we are only able to send media files (audio, video, images) through Whatsapp or any similar messenger. And if we wanna share a pdf book or document file we have to use alternatives like e-mail. Today I will show you how to send a file with any format via Whatsapp. The key here is to disguise the file as an audio so that the messenger could happily accept it :)
Alright! Lets Begin.
>> Set up these things first
- Create one zip archive of all the files you need to send.
- Find the tiniest mp3 file in your computer. 1 or 2 kb would be a good choice.
>> Now create a new text document with notepad and paste this line in it.
copy/b *.mp3+*.zip Done.mp3
>> Save this text as .bat file. You can do this by clicking on File --> Save as --> change Save as Type with all files and then add a .bat at the end of file name.
>> Now you have 3 files, mp3, zip and bat file. Move all these files to a new folder and make sure that there is nothing else in this folder except these three files.
>> Run the bat file by double clicking on it. You will see a command window first and then a Done.mp3 file in your folder.
>> This Done file that looks like an mp3 file is also a zip file that contains the things you are going to send to another person. If you like to test, open this mp3 with any archiving program like winrar or 7-zip.
>> You are done for now, send this mp3 file via Whatsapp or any mobile messenger.
>> Next time you don't need to go through all these steps, simply change the zip file in the folder cuz bat and mp3 files are already in place. Run the bat again and you will have your new Done file.
>> Ask the other person to find this mp3 file in mobile and open it with any application that handles zip files in their mobile.
NOTE
Some of you might wonder that what is the point of all this if we have to turn to PC to send a file, why not use the e-mail or other file sharing methods instead? It is because some mobile networks maybe offering this messenger service for free without any data charges while other options may cost you a little. You can call it you free e-mail service if you like. Mobilink is offering this for free which gave me the idea to write this post.
