We are using VPNs since last year. Everything was smooth, no problems at all. But in recent past, VPN hasn't been stable anymore. Don't know what was the issue but a lot of VPN services stopped working, so everyday I had to look for a new VPN provider that was still in working condition.
Anyhow! discovered another alternative that is browser based (extension). As every operating system supports the most famous browsers so there would be no issue in figuring out how it will work on Windows XP or any other operating system. All you need is a Chrome browser and I am sure that you have one ;)
Alright! Lets Begin.
>> Install this browser extension. (click on the free and then add button if you don't know how)
>> You will see a button like this and the welcome page.

>> Enter your email address to signup. Don't worry it wont ask you again and again to login.
>> A confirmation dialog will appear with a password. Change it if you like.
>> Click on Got It. You are good to go.
>> Now click on the extension button to see all the options.
>> By default, a Hong-Kong server is allocated. Every page will be in Chinese if you access through it. So the best idea is to change the server. Click on Change location and select UK or US. You can change the server again if you like.

>> Now click on the Off/On button. You know what it is for. On will let you access the site via desired server. Off will do the opposite.
>> Now open any blocked site. It will be working :)
>> Remember to turn Off the access from the same menu when you wanna use your original connection.
>> The best part: no speed issues so far, in fact better than the original connection :) just kidding ;)

ReplyDeleteWhat sort of connection do you have? And does the VPN (previous post) works fine for you? I am saying because I found this solution better than the previous one in all aspects including speed and configuration.

DeleteHello Sarmad Khan, I find your stuff pretty useful, but - I am not much of a multiple browser user, like I only use Mozilla Firefox, and unfortunately, Mozilla doesn't support this plugin, can you please find any plugin that is just like ZenMate but works with Mozilla, too?

Before I started using chrome (almost 3.5 years ago), the one extension that kept me from switching was AnonymoX. In the beginning it was awesome, worked without any issues, but later on it wasn't stable enough. Sometimes it wont even connect. Don't know what is the condition today but still if you want it then here is the link,
